🚨 Safety Information
We want you to enjoy your stay while feeling safe and prepared.
+ Emergency Contact: Ankur Patel – 678-920-8922
+ First Aid Kit: Cabinet to the left of the fridge
+ Fire Extinguishers: Laundry room & basement near bathroom door
+ Security: 3 exterior cameras (front porch, driveway, and back patio). These record only exterior entry points — there are no cameras inside the home. We also have smoke and noise monitor that measure decibels and smoke inside the house.
+ Parking: While not safety issue, please pull in shorter sedans into the driveway at an angle to avoid scraping the bottom.
🔥 Fire Safety
+ Keep all flames contained to the fireplace or firepit and fully extinguish fires and grills before leaving unattended.
+ Check Gilmer County burn bans before lighting outdoor fires.
+ Fire extinguisher is located in the cabinet to the left of the fridge.
+ For Escape Routes, the upper floor can exit through the front door and the downstairs has 3 exits out the back.
*A map of the escape routes can be found at the front door on the side of the fridge.
🦌 Wildlife Safety
One of the joys of Creekside Cabin is how close you are to nature — you’ll likely see deer wandering through the property and hear the creek at night. You’re in the mountains! Expect to see deer, spiders, snakes, squirrels, birds, and sometimes even bears.
+ Bears: Bears are active in our area - so please do not leave food in your car or outside unattended and clean grill / put away any food securely in bear-proof containers
+ Snakes and Spiders: We have seen poisonous snakes and dangerous spiders on the property - so please be vigilant and check before you pick up any items in the yard or let the kids out to play.
+ Deer: The deer here think they're dogs, so please be cautious if your children are feeding the deer. The bucks are sometimes more gentle than the does, but previous owners son did get his arm stuck in one of their antlers one day... 🙃.
* Always supervise children and pets outdoors.
⚠️ Driving & Terrain
Our property includes a private creek, bamboo forest, and hilly terrain — it’s all part of the adventure! But be careful: rocks and clay can be slippery when wet. Also, mountain roads are mostly paved but are also narrow and winding. Please drive slowly (max 20 mph) and be cautious of wildlife crossing the road (there's deers around almost every corner).
🎠 3. Play Areas & Pets+Kids’ Safety
Our favorite part of the cabin is the outdoor play areas — complete with creek, ziplines, swings, a slide, and a play net tucked under the trees.
+ Kids + Pets must be supervised at all times, especially near the creek, hot tub, open flames, and play areas.
+ Adults, please don’t climb on the play fort/net or ziplines - they're not made to hold adults.
+ Keep doors to stairway closed if you have little ones.
We built these spaces to create memories — just please enjoy them safely.
🛋️ Cabin Amenities
Wi-Fi: Check the side of the fridge by the front door for how to connect to Wi-Fi.
HVAC Thermostat: Located in the top floor next to laundry room door.
Hot Tub: Please slowly fold the lid from the left side of the stairs over to the right. Then walk over to the right side and slowly pull the lid over to the side, easing the lid down slowly to the side of the hot tub.
* Our hot tub stays clean by using a process that separates oils from the water, so if you or one of your guests has applied lotion/oils please shower before entering the hot tub.
📺 Entertainment
All TVs are Smart TVs — feel free to log in to your favorite streaming apps, just remember to log out before checkout.
